Dr. Jennifer Wider is the medical advisor for the Society for Women’s Health Research, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health of all women through education, research and advocacy.

Founded in 1990, the Society brought to national attention the need for the appropriate inclusion of women in major medical research studies and the need for more information about conditions affecting women exclusively, disproportionately, or differently than men.

Dr. Wider writes a syndicated, bimonthly column for the Society’s news service has written, which has been published in newspapers, magazines and websites across the country. The column covers a myriad of topics affecting women including: diet and exercise, heart disease, cancer, obesity, depression, anxiety, diabetes and prescription medications, just to name a few.
